“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Tanya believes that people are remarkably resilient and capable of meaningful growth. When individuals are met with compassion, encouragement, and the right tools, healing and lasting change are possible. She is passionate about helping Wellness Partners navigate life’s challenges, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered to build lives that reflect their goals, values, and hopes for the future.
Tanya earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Brooklyn College before completing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. She also holds the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential.
Her clinical experience includes providing individual and group counseling to adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, complex mental health concerns, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Tanya utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), to help Wellness Partners gain insight, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthy coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
As a Christian therapist, Tanya believes faith can be a powerful source of hope and healing. For Wellness Partners who desire a faith-based approach, she thoughtfully integrates biblical principles with evidence-based counseling while honoring each individual’s values, experiences, and treatment goals.
Originally from New York City, Tanya moved to the Charlotte area about six years ago. While New York will always hold a special place in her heart, she has come to appreciate Charlotte’s welcoming community, beautiful green spaces, and slower pace of life. Outside of counseling, Tanya enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, taking long walks, and pursuing lifelong learning and personal growth.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, working through past experiences, or simply looking to invest in your personal growth, Tanya would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, hope, and lasting change.
