Licensed Therapist
Quintosha Cox, MA, LCMHC specializes in providing clinical services to adolescents and young adults who may be experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, mood dysregulation, grief/loss and depression. She is well versed in providing trauma informed care, grief support, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotional regulation skills, to all ages. She believes that trauma has purpose and that peaceful living is priceless. She encourages her wellness partners/clients at CTEC to explore the greatness in them that the world needs to experience. She educates on the biology of stress and trauma and teaches wellness partners how to address unhealthy, unhelpful thoughts.
She achieved a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University in 2013. Thereafter, she immediately began post graduate career work as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Over the years, she has continued to enhance her clinical skill set to help others achieve holistic wellness. She has a myriad of clinical experience including but not limited to Intensive In Home and Outpatient Therapeutic services in Wake County, North Carolina. Other clinical positions/roles include Family Support Specialist for NC OCME, Acute Hospital Clinician, Child Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder Care Coordinator, Community Policing Crisis Response Clinician and Youth Foster Care Treatment Team Consultant.
She is extremely passionate about working with teenagers, young adults, parents, and families. When she isn’t in session with wellness partners/clients, she delights in spending time with her two daughters, being active outdoors, shopping, reading, traveling, and binge watching Netflix.
