Shauna Mason

Shauna Mason, MS, LCASA, is a Licensed Christian Therapist. Her primary area of interest is substance abuse, addictions, marriage and family distress, depression, trauma, self-esteem and spirituality matters. Shauna has 20 plus years of experience in the mental health field, providing enhanced services to youth and their families. Shauna has a Master of Science Degree in
Christian Counseling of Substance Use and Addictive Disorders, a Post Master of Science in Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Certificate, and a Master of Art in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She has a passion for helping others and is committed to assisting Wellness Partners at Cedar Tree Empowerment Center (CTEC) with developing the tools necessary to create healthy ways of coping with life stressors.

Shauna utilizes evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) to name a few to ensure that she is able to help Wellness Partners to accomplish their mental wellness goals. She has experience ranging from providing Intensive In-Home service working with families and their youth that may have a dual diagnosis of mental health and/or substance abuse disorders, Day Treatment service and Outpatient Therapy including Individual and Couple Therapy. In addition, Shauna has experience in providing Christian Counseling to individuals striving to cope with life’s hardships through use of Biblical principles and faith-based values. These experiences have helped to equip Shauna in continuing to meet Wellness Partner’s unique needs, whether it be through family therapy, skills building, strengthening relationships and crisis management.

When Shauna is not in session with Wellness Partners, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with their children, grandbabies, family and friends, shopping, reading, and writing poetry. Currently, she is working to publish her first Christian book. She is very adventurous and recently went parasailing alone!
